Escape was founded in 2010 by Jayne Lewis and Jo Nualart and is situated in a picturesque setting in Brentwood, Essex.
Jayne and Jo are lifelong supporters of Animal Welfare and Conservation Institutions and both have had a wealth of hands on experience with animals of all shapes and sizes, before setting up their own Sanctuary and Conservation Centre.
The formation of Escape into an open sanctuary and official registered charity is an ongoing commitment to provide a safe haven for animals in need, and to promote and raise awareness on welfare and conservation issues.
Our primary goal for the future is the aquisition of further sites nationwide. Many of the existing sanctuaries within the UK are at or near capacity and in our current economic climate it is almost certain that welfare cases will continue to increase significantly. These are desperate times for animals through no fault of their own. Further sanctuaries will be the only hope for these poor animals.
